Camp Magnetawan has helped hundreds of youth 12-17 with unique learning and behavioural needs in the past 40 years. This 1,000 acre co-ed youth camp has a 2:1 camper-to-staff ratio and just 70 participants, enabling the specialized staff to work with you individually and help you learn important social and problem-solving skills.
The camp's staff is experienced with the challenges faced by youth, and are able to uncover and deal with the underlying causes that often prompt behavioural issues. The camp's non-judgmental and non-threatening environment is also ideal for you to explore your feelings and discover talents you never knew you had.
You'll participate in enriching drama, theatrical arts, kayaking, canoeing, arts and crafts, swimming, and daily sports programs. The campfire evenings will give you an opportunity to interact with your fellow campers and, if you choose, showcase your musical or other creative talents.
Operated by Youthdale, Camp Magnetawan is three and a half hours north of Toronto, on a scenic wooded property with a private lake. Four and eight week sessions are available in July and August, and transportation is available to and from Toronto.
